I know it has been a while, and I promise that it won't be nearly as long until I post again. Last year lots of stuff happened in my life and I was unable to keep up with the blog. I won't way it will not happen again, but i will try to update more often. Within the next week I will be posting the books I read in 2011. Until that is up I want to know what inspires you? and when was the last time your were inspired? until the books come up, ponder on your inspiration.

It is no secret that I like to write, I have a lot of stories bouncing around in my head at all times. I just submitted a story for the 2nd anthology of the Crimson Pact which is about demons and other really cool stuff. They guy who is the editor has helped me out with stuff recently and told me to think about submitting, I am glad to say that this is the first of many stories I hope to work on, and hope that it will make the cut to get into the next book. That is all for now, until I have somthing else to ramble on about.

With life being as it is I have decided that I will not be doing everyday prompts any more. I will be making weekly prompts, they bay be a little bit apart, but I will be making weekly prompts about things that have been on my mind. So this week I was at work and after talking to my lead about him doing his job he told me "don't tell a man how to do his job." Now I have no problem not telling someone how to do their job, except when they aren't doing it. The prompt this week is have you ever had to someones job, and never gotten credit for it?

School is out now, though that really doesn't mean a lot to me because I am going to a technical school. The point is moot. Whenever school gets out I think of summer, and the adventures I used to have, and the things I used to do. I know I have been a super slacker when it has come to my daily prompts so I will not be doing daily prompts anymore. I have tons of excuses and none that really matter, all you need to know is I got sick and was battling a cold for longer than anyone should be battling a cold. The Way of Kings

1001 pages of world building, character developing, madness. This book, by Brandon Sanderson, is his first book in the The Stormlight Archive series. We find this world abandoned by its protectors, and ravaged by massive storms much like overground hurricanes. The book follows four character, the surgeon turned soldier, the assassin, the liar, and the high prince. these characters are struggling to survive in their own way as the world around them is beginning to crumble.

This book was intense, for my taste is was a little long and drawn out in places, but I understand that Sanderson is trying to convey what these people are going through. The despair, the hate, the anger, the uncertainty. The book was broken up into different parts where major things started happening to the characters.

Brandon Sanderson is a genius when it comes to magic systems and fantasy writing. The magic, and the technology in this book is awe inspiring and just blew me away. The characters, especially the soldier, had tons of depth. If I was to give this book a rating (1-10 1 being the worst) i would have to give it an 8.5. I really liked this book, but you need to have the time set aside to read it as it is a chihuahua killer (if you dropped this book on a small dog, the dog would probably die).

In spite of the pain, the sticking out like a sore thumb, or a robotic arm, the boy just want to be normal. He realizes that he can do more with this arm than he could do with a normal arm, and being different is not always a bad thing. Doctors figure out a way to fix the pain with his arm and the boy realizes his potential.
