You are a star crafter. You can create and destroy the stars in the sky with the mere thought. One night the sky goes dark and your precious creations no longer shine for all to see. How do you find out who did this and get your stars to shine once more.

Today's prompt I got from a podcast that I really like Writing excuses, which talks about writing ideas and the publishing process. The prompt is: Take a myth or legend that is totally off the wall and write as though it is totally true. Example: Cameras can steal your soul.

I haven't read certain vampire books that are popular, but I will say I think there are too many vampire/werewolf/monster love books. The prompt for today is: Take a vampire, werewolf, or any other beastie that goes bump in the night, and give them a kind of useless attribute. Example: A vampire that doesn't suck blood, but sucks helium or a were creature that is a were-chinchilla. I hope people are enjoying these as much as I enjoy putting them up.

My Beautiful wife pointed out to me that I wasn't putting ideas up on my blog, but writing prompts. I really didn't argue with her because most of the time she is right. This prompt/idea is : because people don't wash their hands when using the restroom an epidemic virus threatens the inhabitants of the world. What is the virus and how is it overcome?

I was listening to Adventures in SciFi Publishing and Mur Lafferty had this idea to put an Idea for a story on a blog everyday for a year. So I will be trying that and my first idea is your main character has a hyperactive ferret that causes tons of chaos and destruction. Why does this happen and what does it mess up. Hope this gives you a great story idea.

Life has some interesting twists and turns she throws at us. For the last month or so we have painted our house, my wife is getting things going for her business, and I have been reading tons. Writing unfortunately has taken the back burner for a bit. Some of the great books I've read have been The Warded Man, Keys to the Demon Prison (fablehaven 5), and City of Ashes just to name a few. My reading, and writing list keeps growing and hopefully it continues that way. Also I'm starting into a new training school to better my financial situation, and hopefully, with a new sleeping schedule I will be able to submit some awesome short stories into some scifi and Fantasy magazines. Sorry there isn't much to this post but it's all the time i have before another week starts.
