This prompt is for all those who have given part of their lives to the service of this country. What could that have entailed, and who does it affect?

End of the World

I know that yesterday the world was supposed to end, or something like that. So this is the prompt for a bit. How would the world end? Who would help this about? And what happens to the world, does it become some sort of wasteland or what?

Writing

It is no secret that I like to write, I have a lot of stories bouncing around in my head at all times. I just submitted a story for the 2nd anthology of the Crimson Pact which is about demons and other really cool stuff. They guy who is the editor has helped me out with stuff recently and told me to think about submitting, I am glad to say that this is the first of many stories I hope to work on, and hope that it will make the cut to get into the next book. That is all for now, until I have somthing else to ramble on about.

Anti slacker

With life being as it is I have decided that I will not be doing everyday prompts any more. I will be making weekly prompts, they bay be a little bit apart, but I will be making weekly prompts about things that have been on my mind. So this week I was at work and after talking to my lead about him doing his job he told me "don't tell a man how to do his job." Now I have no problem not telling someone how to do their job, except when they aren't doing it. The prompt this week is have you ever had to someones job, and never gotten credit for it?

School

School is out now, though that really doesn't mean a lot to me because I am going to a technical school. The point is moot. Whenever school gets out I think of summer, and the adventures I used to have, and the things I used to do. This weeks prompt is what adventures do you remeber from your childhood, and how can you relive, or recreate those memories?

Slacker

I know I have been a super slacker when it has come to my daily prompts so I will not be doing daily prompts anymore. I have tons of excuses and none that really matter, all you need to know is I got sick and was battling a cold for longer than anyone should be battling a cold. As soon as the school semester is over I should be back to blogging about every week, I will try to be doing short stories from the prompts I have already posted and maybe some new short story ideas. I will try to get on here and post some interesting info from time to time, but for now I won't be posting every day.

Ranchers catch and raise demons. some are harder to train than others, but some get out and raise all sorts of hell, how do you fix this?

What happens when someone revokes your birthday? Do you stop aging, or do you just not have a birthday, or do you never get any presents?

desolation

You find a street where all the houses are boarded up, what happened to this street, where did the people go and what do you find when you do a little digging?

Old stuff

People start collecting old thing, old tech, and old books. Eventually people start believing they are living in older times.

Earth

You fall off the face of the earth, how does this happen?

Death Stare

if you look into someones eyes as they die you gain all of their memories, you gain their wisdom. Few people know about this but those who do become very important people. Some use this to their advantage and start killing off people.

Magic wars

People who use magic are at war with each other, why are they at war and who started it?

Imps

small creatures start taking things that you know were there the day before, they are imps, how do you take care of them?

Sick

I caught a little bug so I just finished doing the last couple of prompts tonight. These prompts I wanted to do for a full year and I am over halfway there, all of these give me good memory joggers and will help with any writing lapse I have, I would love to heart from anyone who has been enjoying these prompts as much as I have while writing them. Elephants have become violent, we find out that these elephants are from space, where did they come from and what are they doing on earth?

Blind Following

People who are avid followers of radio and television programs become rabid fans eventually obsessed. They will do anything and everything for this program. These obsessed fans eventually start to use violence, and you get caught in the middle.

Girl

A girl you are acquainted with suddenly disappears, no foul play seems present, but this is very odd of this girl.

Raid!

A police raid ends with the death of an innocent man. When reviewed and investigated the raid was thrown together last minute and it seems as though there were other motives.

Promise

A person who makes a promise will do anything and everything they can to keep the promise, but if they cannot they live a life of shame.

Space goat

A goat is put into space. After four years the goat seems intelligent and able to wage war against those who put it into space.

Gorilla

You find a gorilla in a phone booth.

Taco vs. Grilled Cheese

Who would win in a fight between a taco and a grilled cheese sandwich? What does this have to do with anything?

Homeless

Some one posing as a homeless person is spreading rumors of a miracle drug that will calm your nerves and take all your cares away. This person is also saying that it is being made and distributed by the government. The homeless population starts to riot, and create a homeless army.

A mage has made his mark by making totally non-lethal very effective spells. How did he get all of this attention and why are you asking for his help?

You lose your book that you write all your thoughts in, when someone finds it and writes in it, they can control you and your memories. How does this work in these people's favor and how do you escape this fate?

New tech has been developed that can create new skin within a short period of time. You would be able to look anyway you want but the cost is very expensive.

Today is ground hogs day, and we should be getting spring a lot earlier that normally. Today's prompt, ground hogs infestations are running rampant, you have to survive. How do you get rid of the ground hogs, and do they taste good?

You have in your possession an old fashion snuff box, but the box does not contain snuff, it is enchanted to contain angels or devils. These tiny beings can help sway people to do what you want them to.

Some have bloodlust ingrained in their systems and some are docile workhorses, there are even some rare ones that can take flight for short periods of time.

a derelict ship is found floating in space and it has to be salvaged. You and three other people go on the mission, but all you find at first is bodies. What happened to the ship and what is going to happen to you?

Some who you work with is not who they say they are. How do you find this information out, and how do you expose the person who is lying? Why is this person lying in the first place.

Cursed Sandwiches

Cursed sandwiches get misplaced. What curses do these sandwiches hold and who is stupid enough to eat them?

Fort

A fortification has been built around a strong hold. The end of the world has started and desolation is spreading across the land. Raiders come to the strong hold and launch bodies littered with disease a few of which are alive when they land they wreak havoc, and cause panic. How do the people in the strong hold survive?

Princess?

Rather than venturing out to save a princess in a keep, guarded by goblins, dragons, and countless other beasties, you go to save the Oracle. With the Help of this Oracle you can save the land, but what are you saving it from?

Thirst

How do you quench your thirst? How does this end up being an adventure? Who doesn't want you to quench your thirst?

Loathing

You are placed in a room with someone you dislike greatly. How did you and this person end up in this room? What caused the rift between the two of you?

Apple Juice Monsters

You are a monster hunter, your specialty is hunting apple monsters. The reason is to get the best apple juice. (Which is the blood of apple juice monsters) Yes we can get apple juice from killing baby apple juice monsters, or apples as the real world calls them, but what is the fun in that?

A religious fanatic starts an open war against anyone who stands in his or her way. You counter said fanatic by disproving some of the more outrageous claims made by this person.

A meteor storm hits the earth devastating many countries but how does this affect the world, and how does this affect mankind?

Major political figures and prominent people in society start dropping like flies. Some are taken, some just go missing and some take their own lives, what is causing this craziness, and who is at the root of all this evil?

Angel of Hope

An Angel blend in with the mundane to protect and destroy. Protecting those that need to be and destroying the demons that are here to enslave humanity.

Toxic waste

You have been exposed to a chemical compound that alters the chemical mass of your body, for example: You can now change your body to the same consistency of that of a helium balloon. You become Balloon Man! or maybe something not so juvenile, it is up to you, or is it?

Books to read

Last year I kept track of all the books I read, most of them for school, but I kept track of them nonetheless. This next year, as I have been reading blogs I have determined to try two different reading lists. The first is to get books off my shelve and the second is to read YA books. The Way of Kings

1001 pages of world building, character developing, madness. This book, by Brandon Sanderson, is his first book in the The Stormlight Archive series. We find this world abandoned by its protectors, and ravaged by massive storms much like overground hurricanes. The book follows four character, the surgeon turned soldier, the assassin, the liar, and the high prince. these characters are struggling to survive in their own way as the world around them is beginning to crumble.

This book was intense, for my taste is was a little long and drawn out in places, but I understand that Sanderson is trying to convey what these people are going through. The despair, the hate, the anger, the uncertainty. The book was broken up into different parts where major things started happening to the characters.

Brandon Sanderson is a genius when it comes to magic systems and fantasy writing. The magic, and the technology in this book is awe inspiring and just blew me away. The characters, especially the soldier, had tons of depth. If I was to give this book a rating (1-10 1 being the worst) i would have to give it an 8.5. I really liked this book, but you need to have the time set aside to read it as it is a chihuahua killer (if you dropped this book on a small dog, the dog would probably die).

Goat!?

You are in a new city, you have no idea how you got there and no it isn't a dream. How do you establish yourself in this new city and what kind of city is it?

It's the new year so write what horrible things will happen to you if you don't keep up with your resolutions.

Take a newspaper article and spin it to fit your need. Blow that story out of proportion, then insert your favorite hero. Well that favorite hero cannot get away without getting into a ton of trouble or putting others in peril

Leading

As you walk home you find arrows painted on the ground that start flashing as you pass them. As you deviate from the arrows they start to flash red, you decide to get back on course, and at the end of the trail you find yourself at a dead end alone.

Itch

You have an itching virus that gets passed whenever someone scratches where it itches the most. What happens to these people that get the virus and how does it ever get irradiated?

This is my third post about mental patients. A mental institute is a front for a high profile prison. You go to visit a relation, when you are captured by one the inmates. You find out about the ruse and more about this captor who was in the news a long long time ago.

Shoes

When you put someone's shoes you become that person.

Mental Patient

You pretend to have a mental illness to be taken to a mental institute. You are in possession of a secret that is connected with this building. You have to find this secret and take care of it, before you can leave.

Package

A messenger is given an envelope that is wanted by many people. This causes lots of turmoil among all of the different parties.

Muse

A Muse that rouses inspiration but at a cost, the muse also sucks life from the person. After a death of this type of incident the police get involved.

New Year

It is now the new year, I have been going about half the year doing writing prompts. This new year I will continue with the writing prompts but I will also be talking about other things that have been popping up in my writing life. My next post that isn't a prompt will be the list of books I read in 2010. I read a bunch of books for my classes and I read for fun so to put it bluntly I read a ton of books. Just to let you know that is what you can look forward to.
